PARTY!

I of course had to post about Reago's 1st birthday party. It was so fun planning and decorating for it (lets see if I'm still saying that at her 5th, 6th, 7th…) But as I told Brent it gave us something to do and that's always a good thing :)

We didn't quite know how Reagan would handle everything. We tried to keep it pretty small with just family and some close friends but of course when you get even that many is a townhouse it can prove to be a little overwhelming for our little Reago. As most of you know she is the happiest baby on the planet, as long as she is not getting barked at by a police dog (story to come later) or feeling the eyes of 20+ people. But we just had to celebrate our sweet
baby and her first year. Enjoy!

Morning of her party…anticipating something big was about to take place.

Loved her cake!! Thank you flower girl and dough boys bakery!
She was feeling the love!
This is what I had envisioned in my head… al the kiddos lined up on the couch smiling for pictures :)
It lasted about two seconds until Reagan pulled her hat off and then someone put it back on and the string slipped and stung her cheek….. (still makes for a great pic… I love how every kid is staring at her haha)
melt down!!
Babies first cake!

How did that go?? Disaster. Reagan was pretty nervous during the happy birthday song and didn't know what to do with the cake in front of her so mommy thought she would break the ice and just push her had in. Big Mistake. Reagan does not like dirty/sticky hands. By the end her face was covered in tears (instead of frosting) and she had frosting in her eyes from wiping her tears. haha Theres always next year :)

Other then the two traumatic events mentioned perviously Reagan really did have a good day haha (I promise) she enjoyed playing with her cousins and friends and even skipped her afternoon nap…. the grandparents on the other had did not.
We love you Reagan more then words can say! You have brought us more joy in the past year then we could have ever imagined. Your sweet spirit has filled our home and made our hearts so full. We love you baby girl!
